How About a Forum?

Hi people some of you have been asking for a forum, and I am happy to say that we may be able to get one (^_^).

So this post is to know what do you think of the idea? What ideas do you have for it? If you can give your contribution and anything more you want to say.

That's it... Jamlegend just marked the death point.

Today, about 23.40 GMT -1 jamlegend just closed it's doors, showing this goodbye message. Sad day for many, frustrating day for others who worked so hard to reach the level they were for it to end completely today...
Jamlegend team also leaved us this video, which was the original jamlegend before it was even officially launched... the born of jamlegend.

So, those who liked jamlegend so much that couldn't see themselves away from it, calm down... we will bring you a new "jamlegend", some time soon... I know that if we all collaborate for it, we can make a new "jamlegend" much greater than the past one, where everyone can have lots of fun without limitations, and where group working between moderators, trackers and producers will exist again, in full force. Don't be sad... this may have been the end of jamlegend today... but it may also be the start of a new and amazing trip for us, the descendants of jamlegend who will create the "jamlegend" of tomorrow... we will make it the biggest and greatest online game ever! Believe it!! ^^

The Next Step

Hi people Chuck here. I'd like to talk with you about some problems that Jam Project staff is having deciding what should be te next step for the project.
First many of you have been asking for putting the game online, we are seriously thinking about it, but there are some things we need to do first. We need to make big changes in the code we are already starting it with alpha 3 that is why it is taking more than the other Alphas.
Second and a key point people, here at Jam Project we are absolutely against making you pay for anything, what I am trying to say is that we want a free game and a unlimited game too by the way. But to that we need a lot bandwidth, a lot of storage too and to get that we need a lot of money. As you can see we already have adds in the blog, and they pay quite well per click...But even though we are getting a thousand hits a day we only get 1 or 2 clicks in the adds.

So in this post I am asking for two things:

First: Tell us what you think should be the next step for Jam Project

Second: Support us it is just one or two clicks :-D

Please comment with your opinion

We want to thank you for all the support, ideas, songs that you help us collect until now, you are Jam Project, you all Rock

Back to School

Hi people it's Chuck. Today mine and Luna's vacations ended so we won't be around all day like before ;-).
I am doing this post to warn you about the correct time we will be logging in and responding to comments/e-mails, It will be around 6 PM/ GMT -1:00. But fear not people this doesn't mean we will slow down the project and when we are not here feel free to ask questions to Puchyy, Grzechu and Alex.

Also we are already working on Alpha 3 and a couple more music packs keep following, commenting and giving your support.

    We are moving to Megaupload!

Hey guys, sorry for what fileserve made you suffer, we've seen recently that that website is having lots of problems and probably is very annoying for you all those captchas and waiting, and then the time of the download... So, we are moving to megaupload, which offers a best service, better speeds, no captcha and not much waiting (25 secs for registered users, 45 for non-registered). Sorry for serving you with that boring fileserver host site, hope it's better now =)

    5-Visual Tweaks.
    6- Updated Change Keys
    7- Updated 3+ Note Chords

Full version will be here soon.

Btw please be nice and share us on facebook and twitter.

    Sexy update:
We were planing just release this on our next alpha but you were requesting it some many times,  so we added the change keys option and a few extras, just scroll down until you see it under the game.
    Updated  the link too.

Sorry but with this uptdate full has to upload again too. Few more hours :-(

    screenshots for you:

A few tweaks will come along very soon..

A few bugs, and errors, hopefully its minor. We are currently deciding to alter the Jamlegend source code and also the program language for the game. We are currently using, Flash & Flex, we might switch to either Java or C++. Though C++ is a little hard to start with, we will continue to keep you updated with any changes we make as our Project moves along. Stay tuned for Alpha 2 to be released.

Additional features that you would LIKE to see that 'Jamlegend' does NOT provide, and would like us to add in future 'Alpha' versions, please leave a comment below, suggestions are always welcome here. (:

    Alpha 2 Teaser

Hi People today is Doctor Who day :-D, and I just finished Alpha 2 so while it is uploading I will tease you a little about our new features:

    1-Based on Jambox Now.
    2-Choose songs easily.
2-Choose between TAP and Strum easily.
    3-No need to paste JamLegendTrust.
4- No need to name your folder guitar-files and put it on C:\
    5-Visual Tweaks.

I'll post some screenshots for you please comment.

So people this is uploading now... maybe it will be on the next hours while that I'm going to watch Doctor Who.

Tracks that stop at middle? The why of that.

This is a question that has been confusing some people since we launched our first edition of jamproject. The problem with those tracks that stop at middle is not of the program.. it's simply that, like many of the songs we added to our initial pack were still in test, some of them just weren't finish at the time we collected them, and so they're partial unfinished works. For those who want to finish them, please feel free to do so and send us the completed one. You may use EoF or FeedBack for finish those tracks if you want =)
We are very sorry for that Inconvenient! Hope this clears out that doubt!

    Song Requests

Please leave at the comments of this post any songs present at www.jamlegend.com that you want at future library expansion packs here until the 29th of April!

    Friday 22 April 2011

I just said what i had to say

This here is a different topic I made at GSF team, that I just wanted to share with you. You can see the original HERE.

Putting it all to waste... a message for Jamlegend Team.

Jamlegend Team, is it right to put all this awesome site to waste? Is it right to put such a brilliant idea to oblivion? Is it right to rip off the fun so many people had with this game? Is it right to shut down a whole community of people who care for it and that work hard on it (moderators, producers, trackers), and that with so many effort and love made it so organized? Is it right to throw more than 3 years of history to garbage? Even if you are with Zynga now... why... CAN'T YOU SEE WHAT YOU ARE DOING? Open your eyes!!
Btw, Zynga sucks. If you guys are going for them too, really, you suck. I though you were better than that... that you had a big future with this game... and that this someday would be a revolution when you would win some wisdom and put this into order and accept or brilliant ideas that have been through so many time discussed in this forums... But it looks like you only got the reverse of wisdom, always...Why do you have to be like that... why do you have to bury yourselves in your own graves...
Just answer that if you can... though I know you will not answer, because you aren't anything else than a bunch of fools. If you do change your minds about jamlegend, what I seriously doubt since I know how you are, I would really change what I am saying... so... it's on your hands, if you want to keep being what I see here => http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_B7uFW...

By the way, thanks a lot for making me a moderator, and I really had some good fun while I was, and I learned many new things and met more cool people =)
But seriously, if this is going to be like that, quitters... I don't care anymore about it. Seriously guys, you disappoint me, a lot. I admire your courage if you are still reading this (jamlegend team)... I though you would just ignore this topic like you did with many many many many others...

I challenge your to answer to this and to change... if you don't, you will always be fools for the rest of your life.

I'm sorry for the things I called you here, but I just said what I had to say...

Who agrees with me, please support me at the forum... Like I said, I just said what I had to say

(Credits of the video goes for Dan, theWiseOwl)

    Quick tutorial and play

Here's a video for you, guys! Enjoy

Something not working? Watch it on YOUTUBE!

JamProject - 1st Alpha Edition Launched

Okay after a couple of days working under pressure, we are now able to release the alpha 1 version of JamProject. Since it is an alpha version it will get fairly better.

We packed this alpha in two different versions, the basic version that comes with the exe file only (you will have to download the tracks/songs) and our full version that already comes with 50 songs included (we will add more songs later). Within this songs are included some like these:
    • A Horse called Golgotha by Baroness
    • Beast by Cloudburst
    • Cheat the Devil by The Young Werewolves
    • Wanderlust by Baroness
All tracks should include at least the legendary version.

By the way both this versions are absolutely free and have unlimited plays :-).
There's still much more to come on the next versions.

If you want to donate one or more of your track and songs, please send an MP3 of your song and your MIDI file to northwolf95@gmail.com , properly identified with the name of the song and the artist. You can also send us your name or nickname if you want to be mentioned has the tracker of the song!
See you later guys, have fun and leave at the comments any opinions or thoughs you want to tell us about our program or about the project!

Important: You need to save the songs always on a folder called: "guitar-files", and save it on you C:\ directory... Don't forget the path needs to be: C:\guitar-files
Songs and tracks should have EXACTLY the same name. Example, for an mp3 called Wanderlust.mp3, the track should be Wanderlust.mid . When you introduce your song at the program, you should type "Wanderlust", like you did before.

Update 1: Some people are having trouble installing. If you experience the problem of white screens, just paste THIS on C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash\FlashPlayerTrust
      Or if you're using 64bits C:WindowsSysWOW64MacromedFlashFlashPlayerTrust
You maybe will have to activate the view of hidden folders if you get stuck on the way for the right folder!

Update 2: Right now you can't change keys by default, we will try to add it in future versions but if you want to change keys just use THIS
